Acrylic

Acrylic has a variety of high-performance properties, among the most important being its optical clarity. It offers glass-like brilliance but is much lighter and much more durable than glass. People often use plexiglass and acrylic interchangeably. There is absolutely no difference between both of them. Acrylic is an abbreviation for polymethyl methacrylate and Plexiglas® is one of the many brand names of this plastic. Over time, this brand name has become generic as ‘plexiglass’.
